A description that hides the task
Replace a vague description such as “working” with the action and outcome, for example “Test setup instructions.” It will be easier to interpret later.

Start a person work session with the appropriate project allocations, keep it accurate as your work changes, and review the resulting history. The aim is a record that explains which project received effort and what the contributor was doing.
Check Time Tracker access and management permissions. Confirm that the required projects already exist in Project Management. If the project list is empty, a permitted project manager must create the projects first.
Open Time Tracker and select the project or projects receiving your work. Check the names before starting so the resulting allocations appear under the intended projects.
Enter a specific work description for each selected project. Start the session and confirm that the running state appears. One start action creates the person session with its selected project allocations.
Pause an allocation when its work pauses, resume it when you return, and stop it when that portion is finished. Check the current running state before switching to another task.
End the person work session when your working day is complete. If starting again prompts an overtime or new-shift choice, choose the option that reflects the actual work.
Review stopped entries for project, date, person, duration, and description. Project Management analytics shows finalized tracked time separately from live activity. Use the history filters to inspect the intended reporting period.
A contributor selects the illustrative “Support onboarding” project and enters “Test setup instructions.” After finishing that work, they stop the allocation. They verify that the stopped entry describes the completed task and end the person session when the working day is finished.
Select a project and describe the task.
Pause, resume, or stop the allocation as work changes.
Check the stopped record and finish the person work session.
For an illustrative thirty-minute interval with two running project allocations, each project may receive thirty minutes. Their additive total is sixty project minutes, while the person’s active working interval remains thirty minutes. Keep these measures distinct in reporting.
Replace a vague description such as “working” with the action and outcome, for example “Test setup instructions.” It will be easier to interpret later.
Check allocations when changing tasks and end the person session when the workday is finished. Confirm the saved state after an action.
Project allocations are additive. Use the person session’s active working clock for employee labor context, and separate live activity from finalized entries.
